I was scouting the net almost endlessly just to find the right universal remote control for my HDTV, it was very frustrating mind you. The internet offers so much information that it has become difficult to find the information you need, when you need it quick.
Millions of products are being produced each day. Mostly, these are just the same product but with newer specs or upgrades. Keeping tab is impossible. For example, try searching a network media player or an external DVDRW you want to buy over the net. What do you get? You will end up wading through bulks of irrelevant information, mostly garbage, only to end-up frustrated and you decide to buy one in the mall. Frustrating huh.

Information Technology (IT) plays an important role in a business’ competitiveness. With computer hardware and software development evolves at the speed of light, any business who has the latest technology can dictate its pacing in the market. Information is power, and he who is able to source, utilize and manage it to its advantage has the upper hand. Bill Gates knew this and so he went ahead and painted the future of IT. We might as well learn from him on the end user side rather than developer.

Being in the small business scale does not exempt from relying on IT (Information Technology). This technology knows no size or boundaries. In a highly competitive business, those who have successfully harnessed the advantages and benefits of IT are ahead of the pack. They are defining the new ways of doing business. They set the pace. They find and tap new markets, and offer more innovative products and services. Such is the power IT infrastructure can bring that it seems to be an indispensable business tool even for small businesses. The problem however is the costs and expertise entail in setting it up within, however needed.
