This is a deviation from regular features posts here, but allow me please.
You may aptly call me now a certified “homeboy.” Because other than learning and adjusting myself to the daily rudiments of managing my home (yeah, I call it Home Management 101), I began to appreciate the technological luxuries I have at home, like the satellite dish for the TV, becoming addicted with PS2 and MORPGs, mastering the art of cooking using the microwave oven, repairing the vacuum cleaner, and so on and so forth. Whew! Now, I realized, sounded more of my ex-wife. Lol.

The recession in the US is getting worse. The recent headlines coming from Wall Street do not convey any hint of immediate economic recovery. The fall and bailing out of AIG by the US Federal Reserve brings more angst than hope to the average Americans, and the rest of the world. The UK is no exception to that.
That worsening scenario should cause an alarm to young urban professionals and dwellers to reassess and redefine their current lifestyle. Inflation rate is still high, albeit the prices of crude oil in the world market is dropping which does not guarantee that this trend will continue ; because as the winter season approaches, surely the demand for petrol products will rise so their prices.

London is probably one of the cities in the world that I would love to have a short yearly vacation but not my ideal place to live in. Don’t get me wrong. I love London. However, the cost of living is one of the most expensive in the world, next to Moscow according to Mercer Human Resource Consulting in their 2007 survey. Using New York City as the baseline, London is more than thirty percent more expensive according to that survey. So, cost of living wise, I will not migrate there.
